Enter Christina Lyon, a death row inmate falsely accused of the murder of her husband and daughter. She is taken to a prison run by Charybdis Industries, a corporation secretly experimenting on an amphibious carnivore in a secure laboratory within the same facility. When the subject escapes and goes on a killing spree, Christina wakes to find herself the sole survivor.
Now trapped in an abandoned facility with a dangerous creature, Christina must find a way to escape, using the subject’s attraction to noise to break down walls. Along the way, she will reminisce about the facility’s dead inhabitants and uncover exactly why the creature was there in the first place.

Walkie Talkie: The player can use a walkie talkie to create sound for the creature to investigate. It can register inputs from the players microphone to do so, but can also make noise by simply turning it on.

Flares: Due to the thick clouds of fog, it may be hard for the player to see. Flares and be collected and thrown to both provide light and clear away some of the fog.

Hiding: One of the main methods of avoiding the creature is by hiding. This can be done by interacting with desks and lockers.

Sanity: Sanity marks how much of the game's hallucinations the player will encounter. They start off with no hallucinations, then begin seeing visions and hearing voices as it lowers. The lower the sanity, the more frequent they are.

Documents/ Audio Logs: The story of the game is told predominantly through paper documents and audio logs. They detail events surrounding the experimentation of the creature, general incidents that happened within the facility, and insight on how some of the prisoners behaved.
