Knucklebones is a dark tactical dice builder on a snakes-and-ladders roguelike map. Roll, assign, and survive your way to the end.

Each turn, you roll your dice and commit them to action. Place them to attack enemies, block incoming damage, or resolve encounters. You won’t have enough to cover everything. What you choose to protect, and what you leave exposed, decides the outcome.

Build your pool as you progress. Upgrade dice, alter their faces, and trade for more powerful ones. Every change reshapes your options, forcing you to decide what to keep and what to give up.

Navigate a branching path across the board. Step on a snake and fall into danger, reach a ladder to climb toward safety, and choose routes that balance risk against survival.

Combat is resolved by thresholds. Meet the required value and the threat is dealt with. Fall short, and you take the full consequence.

Runs are short and repeatable, but unforgiving. Success comes from how you assign what you roll, and what you are willing to risk to keep going.
