Gameplay Summary:

• When the light inside you awakens, you find yourself in a dark abyss, surrounded by untended graves. Explore the narrow halls of the damp caves to reveal large underground labyrinths, all lined with mysterious specks of white light. Upon contact, take said motes into yourself to bolster your pale, white flame. Inhabiting the sprawling labyrinths are peculiar creatures, such as the skeletal Pot-Heads, shadowy Black Motes, and the radiantly-glowing Gazer, another creature which possesses the ability to draw power from motes. Make contact with friendly characters, such as Jari the Cat, and the mysterious Sculptor, and exchange items collected during your adventure for incremental improvements to your Vessel. Use the resources available to you to defeat the dark presence looming over the Abyss, and escape the dark underground, for even greater challenges await you on the surface...

  • Smash obstacles, deal contact damage enemies, and protect yourself from harm in this state.

  • Movement speed whilst in this state will scale with the amount of motes collected.

• Defeat enemies to reveal collectables, which can be used to upgrade your Vessel.

  • Harness the latent energy of enemy souls to stir the growth of Vesselblooms, the glowing bulbs of which can be exchanged to increase your Capacity stat, and in turn, the amount of hits you can take before breaking.

  • Clear roomfuls of enemies to unlock chests containing valuable items, such as Kindling, which can be used to bolster your spiritual flame, as well as other special items, such as the Ceramic Glaze and Pot Lid, which alter game-play in unique ways, such as enabling ranged attacks against certain foes, and preserving motes upon death.

• Continue growing your vessel in New Game Plus, wherein enemies will have higher HP and inflict more Damage. How many cycles can you complete?
