This is unusual. Some context: last summer, I was clearing out my late great-uncle’s attic. There was a lot of strange, old electronics. (My uncle worked at the Bletchley Park code-breaking facility during WWII. What he did there is still secret, even now.)

Then I found a book.

I googled it but I can’t find any reference anywhere, or to Pemberton herself. I found a few more from the same series, too:

I’ve read a little of each. They are – very strange. One had a code, stamped on the front page.

We made this game from the text of these books. Tore them apart and put them back together in code, to try and understand them.

So far, we have failed. Perhaps you will succeed.
