The Deepwoods is an action-deckbuilding-roguelike, in which you venture as far as possible into the Eternal Forest, to face the corruption festering at its core. With each wave of enemies you encounter, you draw a hand of cards from a deck of weapons and abilities - forcing you to adapt to fight off your foes! 

With over 150 different cards and 100 blessings to discover, each expedition into the woods will be a unique experience.

Equipment

Throughout the Eternal Forest you will find equipment of all kinds. Drafting a card allows it to be drawn in future combat waves, and you can further upgrade each card with runes - powerful enhancements that could increase a card's power or size, for instance.

Blessings

Blessings bestowed by the forest spirits will further increase your chances of success. Each blessing provides a boon for the rest of your expedition. Some blessings might be more impactful than others, although all are powerful with the right circumstances and synergies...

Roguelite/Roguelike

By default, the game offers a roguelite experience - but it offers a roguelike mode too!

In roguelite mode, each run provides resources to upgrade your camp, providing permanent unlocks that aid you on future expeditions. Some options, cards, and blessings are locked to begin with, and are unlocked through play.

In roguelike mode, everything is unlocked from the get-go, providing a more traditional experience for roguelike purists.
