As a Hunter, you are now property of the S.H.P. — the Squid Hunt Program. We send you through a portal to intercept the — fortunately — endless waves of the enemy. Personally, I'd march the squid-heads straight across the country to further expand our humanitarian capital. But nobody asks me.
To the state, the marrow. To the enemy, the grave.
Enter the portal. Eliminate the enemy. Collect supply crates and pay. Return to your quarters, open the crates, and secure new weapons and bonuses. Upgrade your equipment at the workbench — so that on your next run, you send even more enemies to their maker, even faster.
Those who serve the S.H.P. shall never fall.
Gain experience, rise in rank, grow stronger. Your rank determines your workbench, your storage capacity, and your access to more dangerous portals. The more dangerous the portal, the better the supply. You set the difficulty.
The heart is cold. The hand is steady. Until the Program lets you go.
Open special hunting portals and face boss enemies who desperately attempt to obstruct the Program. They promise cheerful bloodshed, glory — and more importantly, equipment. The loss of body parts is to be offset by increased combat readiness. Conserving ammunition is strictly prohibited.
