In order to spice up the chess theme a bit more the map is made out of hexagons where each has its own type (biome)

Preserving the Chess theme

Un like other RTS games RTS Chess does not have resources and resource management as to preserve the chess theme everything is visible on the board.

The primary resources of the game are pawns which are used for building and upgrading buildings
